Hey there,

I'm now offering a 6 week class for beginning handbuilders. It's held on Saturdays from 10 to noon at Allied Ceramic Art Institute, 7425 Winding Way, Fair Oaks, CA. The cost is $80 for the class and a $20 material fee.

Wow, I can't believe it's been over a year since I've posted. That semester at ARC was a tough one for me. Intermediate Algebra took most of my time, but I hung in there and passed the class. My mother-in-law, Ella Pearson passed away in October 09 and we spent a lot of time taking care of her affairs.

I entered a sculpture into the Sacramento County Fair and received a first place ribbon. The California State Fair was also good to me this year. My piece, "Friends" won first place and best of division. I'm still doing studio time at Alpha Fired Arts and I've also taught some kids classes at Allied Ceramic Art Institute. I've been busy...

In fact, I've got a show up at Allied now. It will run through October. The address is 7425 Winding Way, Fair Oaks, CA. Come on out and have a look.

Come visit our latest show at Danielle's Creperie and Gallery at Fair Oaks Blvd. and Watt Ave. Five of us are showing pieces there until the end of May, 2009.

Artists include: Marsha Elam, Veronica Kyle, Robyn Slakey, Ellen Hulls, and me, Aiyana Pearson. We are all members of the Tony Natsoulas weekly sculpture workshop.

Besides the neat art, Danielle's has great food.

A day at Alpha Fired Arts

Robyn took some pics yesterday while we were working hard at Alpha. The larger dog and boy rider is a project I'm working on for my figure sculpture class at ARC. I've been struggling with the arms and hands and of course the face, but it's coming together. The smaller dogs are for the Pence Gallery holiday market sale. I'm having a fun time working on them.
